Human Resource Management is the managing of the human resource, the developing of employees to be more productive. As what I have learned from the administration head of our adopted company during our interviews, the definitions stated were a like from what he said. ღღThe one i interviewed was the Head of the Administrative Division of the Davao City Human Resource Management Office. He answered some of the questions i asked but because he was so busy he gave me a brochure that answered somehow my queries.ღღ


ღღWhen you say human resource, it pin points the most potent and most resourceful and cannot be depleted resource of them all. When you say Human Resource Management, it is is the strategic and coherent approach to the management of an organization's most valued assets - the people working there who individually and collectively contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the business. ღღ

Arrow Arrow It is true that we, human beings, are the most valuable and productive resource of all because man could do a lot of things, they could think and can function on their own and by these, can do things that no other resources could do. They could invent things, also could innovate things and so much more. They can make a company grow, strong and be the most competitive company of them all.

Arrow Arrow But even with this thought human beings are still deprived rights and has managed them poorly. They still have least understood human resources and took them for granted thinking that they could be used unconditionally because unlike other resources human resource can’t be depleted.

Arrow Arrow Yes, indeed human resources cant be depleted but human beings can get tired and also has emotions that could burst out when handled improperly. And by doing this to them they could be a termite of a company, slowly sinking the company. Keep in mind that this resource has a mind of their own and has feelings also.

I think it is included in the curriculum for us not be ignorant of our rights and privileges as an employee in the near future. Another thing is we will able to know what will be our job description is and we will able to know what really our job is and can't to let us do some jobs not stated in our job description.

Also, if we will make systems for HR departments or be hired in an HR Department we will have ideas or knowledge so that we will able to understand more about the flow of the department.

The 21st century corporation will not have one ideal form. Some will be completely virtual, wholly dependent on a network of suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors for their survival. Many factors, from the need to expand beyond national borders to the inexorable shift toward intellectual capital, are driving change to corporations, but none is more important than the rise of Internet technologies. Like the steam engine or the assembly line, the Net has already become an advance with revolutionary consequences, most of which we have only begun to feel.

The Net gives everyone in the organization, from the lowliest clerk to the chairman of the board, the ability to access a mind-boggling array of information--instantaneously, from anywhere. Instead of seeping out over months or years, ideas can be zapped around the globe in the blink of an eye. That means that the 21st century corporation must adapt itself to management via the Web. It must be predicated on constant change, not stability, organized around networks, not rigid hierarchies, built on shifting partnerships and alliances, not self-sufficiency, and constructed on technological advantages, not bricks and mortar. Already, old business models that emphasized fixed assets, working capital, and economies of scale have become increasingly vulnerable to nimbler organizations that employ new technologies to reduce costs.

Leading-edge technology will enable workers on the bottom rungs of the organization to seize opportunity as it arises. Employees will increasingly feel the pressure to get breakthrough ideas to market first. Thus, the corporation will need to nurture an array of formal and informal networks to ensure that these ideas can speed into development. In the near future, companies will call on outside contractors to assemble teams of designers, prototype producers, manufacturers, and distributors to get the job done. Emerging technologies will allow employees and freelancers anywhere in the world to converse in numerous languages online without the need for a translator.

21st century corporations will be powered by high end technologies and therefore will be very lean in terms of manpower..

They laid off their highest paid sales associates and hired new employees who will be compensated at the current market range for those jobs.
